Hugh Jackman reveals how he is physically preparing for "Deadpool 3"

Hugh Jackman is improving his physical form of "Wolverine" for his debut on "Deadpool 3". In the program "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", the actor described the exercises he has done and the diet he has followed to improve his physique.

At the moment the actor is taking 4500 calories a day, which is still insufficient. According to Hugh, the ideal is the 6000 calories daily, but he is working daily to achieve this goal. "It's 6,000 calories," Jackman said. "About 6,000 calories a day. I think, at the moment, I'm accumulating, with about 4,000-5,000 calories. I used a heart rate monitor like Harold Hill. So, my coach said I need to know what I'm working on here, because I'm trying to increase the volume. So, I burn 1,500 calories during the show, eight times a week. She said, you have to eat!"

"Apologies to the entire cast of The Music Man, and in particular to my dresser and my wife — all the protein shakes are starting to go into quick action," Jackman said. "The other night, I could hear the velcro creaking and it really opened. I shared two pairs of pants," he said in an interview with Variety. "It was an 18-inch tear. I had about two minutes. I told the stage manager: 'New pair of pants!' I had my pants around my ankles. I thought that if my dresser doesn't arrive in time, it's better to continue with split pants than without pants. So I saw him running from the stage from the right to the left stage, full speed. We arrived just in time," the actor concluded.

"This story is pre-Logan... where Logan died. So we do it in the plot... When I keep thinking about myself and Ryan, in Deadpool and Wolverine, who are classic comic book rivals, there is also a dynamic that I really never had to do before as Wolverine and I just thought that this would be fun, something I've never done before. And I can't wait," Jackman said without revealing much about what's to come.
