Purple tomato, the new antioxidant fruit, healthier and more resistant

Purple tomatoes are very beneficial for health, they are more resistant and super antioxidant. This tomato maintains the characteristics of the normal tomato. There is only one thing that changes, the color.

This new tomato has been genetically modified and approved by the United States Department of Agriculture. The tomato has a purple color because it was inserted with anthocyanins, a compound that gives the bluish and purple color to blueberries, blackberries and eggplants.

Rats with a propensity to develop cancer fed this new type of tomato, created in the laboratory, recorded a longevity 30% above the rats that ate normal tomatoes. Other studies have concluded that these tomatoes last longer on supermarket shelves and inside refrigerators.
