Prolonged baths in hot water increase the concentration of nitric oxide in the blood and dilate the blood vessels. This reaction of the body is great for improving the lining of blood vessels and for improving their functioning, thus preventing cardiovascular diseases.

When the body temperature increases by another 10°C, the bath helps to burn up to 140 calories, the same as a 30-minute walk. Those who take a long bath three times a week can lose one kilo a month without great efforts.
