How 36-year-old Peter got defined six-pack in just 11 weeks

Peter is a 36-year-old portfolio manager who lives in Bridgehampton, New York. He shares how to train three times a week and changing his diet helped him stay in the best possible shape.

In an interview with the Men's Health website, Peter reveals: "I have always been physically active; I like to go to the gym, but also climbing, cycling and skiing. However, my ability to train really decreased during COVID.” During the pandemic and due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Peter says he was "shocked by how quickly my body deteriorated."

Previously he lived in the Hamptons, but as he was deprived of the outdoors, he decided to move to Los Angeles where he met Eddie Baruta, a senior coach, where it all began: "We started working out three times a week at the UP gym, focusing mainly on strength training and full-body exercises."

“I complemented this with up to 60 minutes of cardio on other days,” he said. "I started tracking all meals and snacks to make sure I was reaching my daily calories and macro goals" and "I also reduced my alcohol intake, but I did not completely eliminate alcohol consumption until the last two weeks of the program."

“When I started training with UP, I weighed 187 pounds and had about 20% body fat. Over the 11-week program, I lost about 8 pounds, most of which during the first two and last weeks. The real results were in my composition: my body fat fell to 8.9% and I gained 14 pounds of lean muscle mass," Peter confessed about his results training now in Los Angeles.

All this effort paid off, because Peter managed to feel "drastically better" and his "sleep improved", starting to have "much more energy during my work day".

"My focus now is to get stronger. Eddie and I are still training three times a week virtually, working towards some immediate strength goals in deadlifts, bench press, squats and pullups," Peter concluded.
