At the age of 59, Tom Cruise shows himself in good shape in the movie 'Top Gun: Maverick'
Tom Cruise has established himself as one of the most powerful and fundable Hollywood actors of all time. His now legendary 40-year film career includes many epic roles and memorable performances.
With the release of Top Gun: Maverick, one thing is catching people's attention: Cruise's physique. Torn with lean muscle mass at the age of 59, arguably looking better than him in the first Top Gun movie!
Cruise's diet preparing for the Top Gun Maverick included:
Protein sources: Grilled chicken breast, salmon, vegetables, legumes, egg whites, whey protein.
Carbohydrates: Rice
Healthy Fats: Nuts, avocados.
Vitamins, Minerals: Green vegetables, berries. Multivitamins.
Supplementation: Magnesium, omega-3 supplements (e.g., cod liver oil), joint support supplements (e.g., glucosamine sulfate, saffron capsules).
Cruise often avoids the standard three-meal routine in favor of up to 15 "mini-snacks" scattered throughout the day. Such a limited caloric intake is risky for ordinary people, especially in the context of stressful family lives, complete social calendars and other demands of our time.
The secret to Tom Cruise's success lies in his desire to combine traditional gymnastics exercises (three days a week), various outdoor activities and sports (two days a week) and active rest days (two days a week, usually Saturdays and Sundays).
Gymnastics Exercise Division - every two days:
Day 1: Triceps, Shoulders, Chest (for Example, Bench Press, Shoulder Press, Triceps Pull).
Day 2: Biceps, Back, Trapezoid Muscles (for example, Deadlift, Hammer Curls, Barbell and/or Cape Shrug).
Day 3: Abdominal Muscles, Legs (for example, Ab circuit, Leg press, Squats, Weighted Lunges).
Normally, 3 sets of 10 repetitions with 8-10 exercises per day. 30-45 seconds rest between sets and exercises.
Start with a 10-minute cardiovascular warm-up (for example, treadmill walk, stair machine, elliptical bike, etc.). Complete your workout with some light stretching and flexibility movements.
Tom Cruise is known for enjoying the outdoors. Choose from one of the following options: canoeing/kayaking, caving, parkour, fencing, climbing, hiking, etc. These exercises should be at least one hour.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has always been one of my favorites for fat loss. Combine sprints, rest periods and intermediate sprints during the desired period of time.
After five solid days of activity, don't forget to complete the week with low-intensity sports, walking or cycling. Precision sports such as bowling, darts and archery can offer different challenges and perspectives.
