Tom Hardy says he was overweight for his role in "Dark Knight Rises"

10 years later, Tom Hardy's portrait continues to talk and in an interview with BBC Radio 1 the actor reveals: "If you really study [Bane's] photographs, I was really overweight, actually. I ate a lot and it wasn't much heavier than I am now, but I just ate more pizza. They shoot from below to make you look big," he revealed. "People lifted the covers of their motorcycles [helmets] and said 'I always thought you were bigger, man'... I was just bald, a little pig and with pencil arms."

"This is the magic of enlightenment and three or four months getting up and training and eating a lot of pizza. It wasn't great for my heart. The goal was to look as big as possible," he continued. "I have very thin legs and my friend Jacob Tomuri - my stuntman - liked to say 'Why did Tom come in riding an emu?'

"Compared to Christian Bale, I was by no means extreme in my body changes," Hardy told The Daily Beast in a separate interview.

1.The Square: 10, 7, 5, 3 Reps

5.The Diamond: 10, 7, 5, 3 Reps

Put your thumbs and index fingers together in the shape of a diamond. Lower the chest to the center of the diamond and then push up again. Breathe tattered.
