Audi presents electric car that turns into a pickup truck with a button
Audi revealed on January 26 its activesphere, the fourth model of this series, which already has the skysphere roadster, the grandsphere sedan and the urbansphere space.
A crossover with coupe contours and four doors, the new concept of the Sphere line offers an extremely versatile body design, with the rear being able to turn into a pickup at the touch of a button.
With its 4.98 meters long, 2.07 meters wide, 1.60 high and 2.97 wheelbase, in addition to wide free span and 22-inch wheels, the model flirts with the off-road environment. The traction and suspension system makes it equally efficient for urban, road and off-road sections, still according to Audi.
The Audi activesphere also allows the driver to take control of the steering wheel and pedals when he wants to take over the driving of the vehicle. The concept was designed and designed by the Audi Design Studio in Malibu, California (USA).
Electric, the activesphere offers autonomy of more than 600 kilometers and 800 volt technology for fast recharges.
Inside, highlight the innovative Audi Dimension concept, which integrates the physical and virtual worlds by displaying digital content to the occupants, such as a vision of the real environment and the route and interactive elements individually configurable for driver and passengers. This means that all information relevant to the driver can be shown, such as driving condition and navigation.
Still in the cabin, users can see the control panels and other virtual displays in a minimalist and well-distributed configuration. The perspective of mixed reality gives users the ability to interact precisely with those real touch-sensitive areas, but invisible, because the devices show and perform functions reacting in real time when touched by users.
